Take a look at this original one from ebay currently....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/c1948-DINKY...86.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50

There's no silver under the grille & headlamps

Giz, Ali, first of all Ali's model looks as stunining as the original Giz found on Ebay. I am not into Dinky so I wouldn't know which parts should be silver, but I was referring to the picture of the original Ali showed us, in which a small part under the grille is silver.

Heyup gents - good spotting Keesie, I missed that. I have seen a lot of these and generally they're like the ebay one without that patch of silver under the grille.... It's just a matter of personal choice then, either way the car looks excellent now - a REAL Dinky, preserving the spirit of that time, just a simple model without frills. Putting aside the damage it has lasted at least 65 years - how many of todays toys will do that???

Its job to explain it really had to get it very hot to start off with very similar to car led loading and a lot more difficult to do  on a smaller scale

I can believe that, well done again

Ian
