New Trabbi...

As some of you might know Herpa , the German 1/76 model maker bought over the rights and designs to the former East German Trabant a few years ago.     http://jalopnik.com/5360647/new-t...ic-car-industry-before-it-starts,   I dont know I kind of like it in an anti-BMW-Mini kind of way but electric only, im not so sure.

I didn't know that - interesting

As for the car, personally I think it's a bit of a joke. I also find it interesting that they've decided to style it to replicate the original car (in the same way as the 2005 Mustang and Fiat Nuova 500). But, they were great looking cars. When was the original Trabant ever praised for it's good looks?

It looks like a cross between a BMW (not real) mini and a VW variant/fastback.

Is it to be made out of old fast food cartons ?

Very true James it was never the best looking car but personally , if you just look at the original Trabbi,s styling I think it looks not to disimilar to the Ford Anglia Torino of the 60s    but then I am the guy who prefers the Ferarri 400i to a Daytona  so what would I know!LOL
