introducing myselfI'm thinking introducing myself is anew topic. Hmmmm where do I begin ?
I was christened oldgit by my daughter when she was a teenager , bless her , she's 29 now.
Now I'm stuck at home on long term sick, so I decided I needed a hobby.
It only started as something to do but seems to have sucked me in.
I have a small collection of matchbox which I plan to restore .
The forums on here have been a great help and have answered pretty much all questions I had.

NewbieIt is a pleasure to read your post. A person never has all the questions asked. There is always something that appears in restoring that requires someone else's knowledge. Even veteran restorers from time to time are learning new things. Please feel free to enter into conversation, banter (there's plenty of that), Humor (and yes plenty of that too), discussion, and opinion. We have people from all over the world that can offer a hand. A hearty welcome from the U.S. Maybe post some of your Matchbox items in original condition and then what they look like restored. Welcome here.

adding to my profilePicking up on a few points.
First thank you for the welcome.
I joined just before christmas so that put me back a bit.
I also had to go back to hospital to find out if having my kidney removed cured my cancer.
Looks like I'm not that lucky .
So anybody out there who's going through the same thing you have my best wishes for a good result
