Hello from the USA

Hi all,

My name is John and I am an accountant slogging along in a cubicle in Columbia, SC, USA.

I first became interested in diecast collecting with Hot Wheels and Matchbox Superfast.  Soon after, I discovered companies like Corgi and Dinky.

Specifically, I collect American muscle cars and have a few Corgis and Dinkys, along with some obscure stuff like Nacoral and Sabra.

Looking forward to chatting with y'all.

Hello &    John, good to have you with us.

I'm a big fan of American Muscle cars too - have you seen the range from Matchbox Collectibles (not the Matchbox Dinky range)?  They take some beating!  Here's a link to a previous post about these:

Again, thanks for the warm welcome.

Duncan,

About 6 years ago, a local discount store here had some Matchbox cars I bought.  They were 1/43 scale and came in a tannish colored box.  Since then, two kids have joined my family, so most of my toys have gotten packed away, but I'll try to remember what I got.

Seems like they included a purple Baracuda, a navy blue Chevelle, a brown Road Runner and I know there was a lime green car, maybe a Super Bee.

At the same time, the store had the cars with Coca Cola, Budweiser logos, etc. but I didn't get any of those.
