Hello EveryoneHello to you all. My name is Gary and I live in Liverpool and work as an engineer on the Mersey tunnels. Previously I served in the Royal Marines. I have just started buying playworn corgis with the veiw to restoring them. I am trying to stick to tv/film related ones. So far I have 40 or so and have just set up my workshop in the spare bedroom. I have just made a list of parts that i need and am going to the NEC on Sunday as I have ordered all I need of Steve Flowers. If anybody has restored the Green Hornet Corgi 268 I could do with a few tips. Thanks

Hi Gary, may I be the first to welcome you to our foum. Were a friendly bunch, so you should be OK. There is a couple of wind up merchants on here, but they mean no harm and what ever is said is only said in jest.
We have quite a few Corgi & Dinky experts on here so I would imagine someone has restored a Green Hornet Corgi 268 at some time.
If you haven't already guessed, my name is Gary also, plus my late father was in the 45 Royal Marine Commando's during the 2nd world war. See, we have something in common already. Anyway, I'll leave you to mooch about for a while and we'll speak soon.

Hello Gary, welcome to you! I LOVE Liverpool, if only for the Beatles......so you can also talk to me about that.
Some say I am the Corgi man here (I'm not), but as other Gary said, there are some more members, who you can talk to. I never did a Geen Hornet, but be happy to help you out on others.

If I'd read your post I would have known you were going to the NEC, have you tried the fairs at the Chester Northgate? they are much handier for you and can be very good indeed. I often go with my Brother in law who lives near Ellesmere Port - which is another head smacking moment as he came to meet me at the NEC yesterday, had we known you could have shared a lift.
I will think on in future,
PS welcome to the group and if you like Corgis - you'll love my website - there are hundreds of them there, mostly arranged in the order of the Great Book of Corgi
