I am watching it on the tv now. The Red Arrows have just done a fly past over the Tyne Bridge. Its a lovely day to. Are you and Gaz going to the family day later at South shields. The Reds will be doing a full display.

Do you know, I've only ever been down to the seafront where it finishes once in all the years its been going  and that, I think was the second year it had started, which was back in 1981.

I've always had other things on that were more important than watching people run past me. You know, like restoring little, and big cars.

I went there last year for the family day, but have things to do today.

I watched it all on the TV but for the life of me, I couldn't see GAZ anywhere in the runners   I reckon he was so fast that he didn't figure in any of the coverage as he was miles out in front all the time !

He told me he did it through the night, as he did not want to run with the crowds.

Me too Gaz, I've only been once when my daughter ran it in the 80s

I was on my allotment this afternoon when 3 of the Red Arrows came over, must have been some where else after the G.N.R.
