Mr Taxi

Back from holiday. Keesie might be interested?

Just got back from a weeks holiday in the USA. Booked a basic compact car, but decided to upgrade it when I saw what was parked in the yard at the rental office!

Driving the Mustang

2010 Ford Mustang

It was a great car really nice to drive. It's the new 2010 model and I didn't see many others like it while I was there.  I came back to it in a car park and found this cool Beetle parked next to it!

Good call Mr Taxi

OOOOOO, this is soooooo nice to see!!!! I am sure you had a good time Mr Taxi! I will not the only one who likes your pictures. You will have to tell us about everything you saw and did. I noticed there are not too many differences on the outside between the 2009 and the 2010 Mustang. The rear lights have a different angle on the lower side, and maybe the front bumper is a bit different. Did you have any chanche to compare? Was yours a 6 or an 8 cilinder?

I don't blame you for upgrading, Mr Taxi! It'd be a shame to go all that way and rent a 'compact'.

Definitely, sure would!

Keesie, I saw a few Mustangs like yours, and the front end has been reshaped slightly, the rear lights are different too, I'm sure there are other more subtle changes too. It was a V6, but that was good enough for me, and I drove a lot of miles in it but it was reasonably economical for a car of that size.

I was pleased to find a diecast Mustang too...

No self respecting petrol head could have resisted that. Good for you!

Thanks again for those pictures Mister T, just to compare the dash with mine, here it is.

Now that's what I call a hire car!!   Glad you had a good holiday Mr Taxi!
Andrew

It's one car I can forgive for not having any polished wood - I really do love the Mustang in all its forms, the earliest and the latest are the best.

Thanks Mark!

Lots of things impressed me about this car, like the clever radio display. It doesn't just tell you what radio station you are listening to, it atually displays what track the radio station is currently playing!  How cool is that? So if you had it turned down low you could see what track you were missing, so you could then pump up the volume...

Radio

Ahhh, Mister T tells his story in small parts, every day a little bit! Just to warm us up I suppose.
Yes, the picture of the radio and text on it is very familiar to me! Mine also does that with the CD-tracks played!
james_autos

Wow! Now that is really cool! I've never seen anything like that before

Keesie, I don't want to bore everyone on here rigid with my holiday stories!

But, basically I went to see my cousin who lives near Seattle, for a week. I've been to the States before, but never been to Seattle or Washington State. I had a great time and took lots of photos. If you are interested to see them here's a link.

Being into cars, I took quite a few car photos too.

One thing I did which I would highly recommend, is the Boeing factory tour. Amazing to go and see the massive 747 airliner and others being built from the ground up!

Hey Mister T, I am sure you won't bore anyone, but thanks for the link. Some very nice car pictures in there!

I'll second that.  It's well worth a visit if your in the area.  I've been three times and it's always interesting.  There is also another plant down the road a bit at Renton, WA.  That's where they build the other, single aisle aircraft like the 737.  There aren't any organized tours like at Everett but you can get a shufty if you know someone.  I have a pal who is a quality control engineer there and he got me in.  Pretty tight security though.

Excellent photos Mr Taxi!! I did enjoy those, looks like a great trip and interesting vehicles thrown in too!!   The Piggy van was something else!!
