Another from Australia

Nearing the end of my career I discovered diecast collecting 6 years ago and more recently the desire to restore and then modify (seems like a dirty word to some) mainly Dinkys and Corgis.  I also have done some Sabra and Lone Star diecasts.
It is a fascinating hobby and great to see so many enthusiasts from all over the world.  I have only just got into the forum scene and have joined a couple of others though having only just come across this site which seems to have been around a long while.
I hope to see and learn a lot about this hobby and to share ideas and work with many of you.  I guess at some time I will post some stuff I do as a guide to what I like.  I am looking forward to trawling through the past forums to update myself on members and their ideas.
Thanks for having me aboard.
Regards
Zeke

You sound just like me when I joined a few months ago - I've learnt so much since then   .

They are a great bunch, enjoy!

Welcome to our little ship Zeke! I am sure you will find your way in here.
As long as you bear in mind there are members here that celebrate Xmas with a pair of extra underwear on, while you are sunbathing at the same time in your swimmingtrunks........

Zeke, good to have you with us.  Feel free to wander around, read up about us and our collections, and enjoy the atmosphere of what is the friendliest, most informative Forum for our hobby on the net, (Well, that's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it!!!)

G'day from the Sunshine Coast Zeke. Let me know where you are in the country. Maybe one day we can have the Australian gathering of members.

Hi to all of you who have welcomed me.  Thanks for the encouraging and positive comments.

Stuart I am in Canberra during the week and the Southern Highlands on weekends (between Canberra and Sydney).  If you are ever my way let me know.

Unlike the Sunshine Coast though for those overseas, winters where I live can sometimes require the dual underwear that some of you experience but without the snow (although it has known to do that occasionally)  In fact there is a record of snow falling in Canberra on X'mas day which is the peak of summer here but that was a long time ago, before global warming came on the scene.

I hope to put some photos up on the weekend with some of my stuff and maybe even enter a competition or two.  I need to keep better records during though as it was not something I did.

Hi Zeke. I'm in Melbourne - moved over from Perth (the WA one) about six months ago. Nice to have another Aussie here, although as the name suggests, I'm actually Scottish.
Looking forward to seeing your restos
