Hi,
Just joined the forum on a recommendation from another site.
I have , thanks to my 18 month old daughter, started buying matchbox sized cars again. We found a battered one on the beach & she took an instant like to playing with it, so I bought her a few more. I remembered what fun I'd had with my cars as a child & that got me looking on Ebay.....
I'm not bothered about boxes [ that will save some cash! ] but do want them to look half way respectable [ my better half is already casting a disapproving eye over the 30 or so cars I have bought in the last week or so ] - so I might have to restore a few that have seen better days.
My aim is to re-create the car collection I had when I was 4-10. Well, about 15 really. |

Welcome Algernon - glad to have you with us. Your introduction to this hobby sounds very familiar. I intended to get a few Corgi and Dinky Land Rovers. I think I've about a hundred across Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox etc now and that is only about 3% of the whole collection!
Beware, it takes over! _________________ Andrew Wood

Hello and welcome to the best diecast site on the web. A great group of very knowledgeable folks. I'm a bit the same as you. My interest, among other things, is Dinkys from the 50s though. |

Hello & Algernon, thats a mad mad mad mad name you've picked.
Sounds like you've got the bug alright. Funnily enough it was my daughter who got me started - I bought her a Noddy car from Corgi direct and flicked through the catalogue they sent with it...and the damage was done! _________________
