I was thinking of going with virgin as i have there broadband in and paying the line rental anyway, the only reason i was still with BT was because i had a contract with them but i am sure that is up now. |

I left BT because they would not answer queries to phone calls, emails or letters and I told them that when I left. A year I had a call asking me why I was no longer with them, I told them to ******** check their files

I'm with Virgin,
Broadband/TV/Talk24 Phone (Use it 24/7 only pay extra when making calls to mobiles or 0845 numbers) £25.00 a month all in.
I never pay more than £27.50.
Use the phone for 59 minutes - replace the receiver - ring back - continue phone call for another 59 minutes... I am never on the phone longer than two minutes if I can help it, I hate talking on them!
Virgin gave me a courtesy call the other day so I said that all company numbers seem to be 0845 numbers now, which cost extra to use.
He gave me a website - www.saynoto0870.com. - you enter the name of the company or the 0845 number and it gives you alternative numbers, Either 0800 (freephone) numbers or the actual telephone number of the company which is the standard 01....... number.
I rang Aviva yesterday avoiding the 0845 number and used the Norwich land line number, saved myself about 40p on one call.
Most of the numbers take you directly to customer services without going through all the business of press this for that and press that for this etc.
Am I getting boring?
ps. I am not in any way connected (get the pun) to Virgin media other than to have the above services from them!
Other providers are available, as they say in the best circles. _________________ Best Regards.............Jim |

I have been with Talk Talk (Carphone Warehouse) for almost four years now since I was quite literally "frightened" whenever a BT envelope landed on my carpet. I always made certain that I had a nice hot sweet cup of tea to hand (to help with the shock) and that I was sitting down before I opened the envelope!
I was paying £25 PER MONTH for Broadband alone then on top came all the charges! The actual calls were minimal! Now, for less than £25 monthly I get landline, and Broadband with free calls to UK Landline numbers anytime day or night.
Yesterday I received a call from Talk Talk and they asked me if I was happy with the service and had I any problems or questions for them.
I told them I was more than happy with things which I most certainly am. _________________ Regards, Sandie.
