Hi everyone
I joined recently and have been looking around acquainting myself with how this place runs and who are the "personalities", as well as reacquainting myself with lots of diecasts I haven't seen since I was a kid.
I still have quite a few 1/75's from the seventies, when I was growing up, mostly in play worn condition, moved on to plastic kits for 20 odd years and then started collecting Ford 1/43rd Rally & Touring Cars. Have over 400 in this scale plus some 1/18ths.
Have got really interested in Dinky / Corgi, Etc since a fortuitous auction win and am amazed at some of the finds you guys come up with at car boots etc. There is just nothing like that here in NZ. There are organised swap meets. But generally you see the same stuff each time.
Looking forward to seeing all your future finds.

Welcome to the forum Dave, good to have you on board. Our paths may not cross too much as we seem to collect at opposite ends of the range. I do mostly Corgis with a few Dinkys and Spot-Ons - plus anything else that takes my fancy... _________________ Andrew Wood

Welcome Dave
I once asked a Kiwi why so many of my items on ebay were going to NZ (and Australia)... He said 'Well you English kids kept your Dinkies in their boxes and only played with them inside, we Southern Hemisphere types played with our toys outside, smashed them, lost them, had then stolen by wild dogs etc'. So that's why Aussies & Kiwis want our Dinkies, they've lost theirs _________________ Restore - restore - restore! |
